Science Club
Run by professional scientists, these after-school activities
are aimed at girls aged 7-11. Courses on offer are designed to complement
the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum. Topics last year included electricity,
magnetism, cells and the brain.
The Science Club is organised by Dr Brigitte Meunier, and is run with the help from several scientists at UCL and Kings College. Dr Meunier is a MRC Research Fellow at the Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research (UCL). Her research areas are mitochondrial mutations, human diseases and drug-resistant pathogens (website).
The Science Club takes place every Wednesday afternoon at the Baytree Centre.
