ESOL  IT  LITERACY  NUMERACY  PROGRESSION ROUTES  HOW TO APPLY

The Literacy Programme at The Baytree Centre has been highly successful and many of the students who have accessed this support class have done very well when taking other exams. The Literacy Programme makes use of the Spalding Method, which is a structured course that helps students improve in their handwriting, spelling, pronunciation, grammar and writing as well as reading. Our experience at Baytree has shown that the students have grown not only in their literacy skills but also in their self-esteem and confidence because they have been equipped with the tools to be more independent with their language.

Students progress through the programme at different rates. There are different groups according to ability.
